How much does an emergency plumber cost after hours?
Standard dispatch is $89 daytime and $149 after-hours. We give you the full repair quote before any work begins — no surprises, no "emergency fee" markup on the parts or labor. Your call, your price.
Do you really answer at 2 AM?
Yes — a real person answers every call, not an answering service or bot. We pull up your address on our screen, dispatch a licensed tech, and text you the ETA within five minutes. Active leak, sewage backup, or gas smell jumps the line ahead of scheduled work — real emergency, real priority.
How fast can you actually be on-site?
From the time you hang up, we average 60 minutes door-to-door in the metro Kansas City area (OP, Leawood, Lenexa, Shawnee, Mission, Prairie Village, south KC). Outer areas add 15–30 minutes. We share the tech's live location on an SMS link.
Is the emergency fix a "temporary patch" or a real repair?
Real repair on the same visit whenever possible. If a permanent fix requires parts we don't carry (specialty heaters, long pipe runs), we stabilize, stop the damage, document for insurance, and schedule the permanent return within 24–48 hours.
I smell gas. What do I do right now?
Leave the house, call 911 or Spire (800-582-1234) first, then call us at (913) 963-1029. Do not turn lights on or off, do not use your phone inside. Once Spire shuts the meter, we can pressure-test, locate the leak, and repair to code to get gas restored.
What emergencies do you NOT handle?
We do not handle sewer line breaks requiring city permits at 2 AM — those we stabilize and schedule first-thing next business day with the city inspector. We do not touch natural disaster restoration (call your insurer first). Everything else plumbing, HVAC-adjacent, or gas — we handle.
